    Books are our best Companion during solitude

    Many of us have to travel away from home for work related reasons. The farther we travel alone the lonelier we feel. These are times when I do realize that books are indeed our best friends.

    During any travel wherein I have to stay away from my country, I do ensure to carry with me motivational and inspirational books from my favorite authors like Simon Sinek, Daniel Pink, Seth Godin et al.

    The modern age of hustle and bustle has made travel a mandate in our work lives which is why embracing the habit of reading books is a very good habit.

    An Ideal Home where all are in Flow

    In my opinion an ideal home is one wherein there is a subtle balance of differentiation and integration.

    By differentiation all members are encouraged to try out novel ideas based on their acquired career capital. Whereas integration would mean all members unite and integrate to achieve common and critical goals for the family as a whole e.g. taking care of a minor during ill heath.

    This fine balance of differentiation along with integration would enable the family members to remain in full flow, making it a delightful place.

    Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi enlightens us on this wonderful insight in his best selling book named Flow.

    Importance of right brain skills

    When I see my own daughter exceling in activities like ART, MUSIC, DANCE that demand a huge amount of RIGHT BRAIN SKILLS, it brings a tear of joy in my eye.

    As mentioned by Daniel Pink in his book A Whole New Mind, right brainers are going to rule the future since these skills are not replicable nor automatable.

    Hence if you have kids nurture their right brain skills to give them a better future.
