  • Why should you live in the NOW?

Why should you live in the NOW?

    Daily writing prompt
    What could you do differently?

If there was ONE MOST IMPORTANT thing I could do differently, I would train my mind to live in the NOW. NOW is the Present rest all e.g. PAST and FUTURE are all meaningless.

Dwelling too much in the past along with planning too far ahead in the future unleashes negative emotions more often than not.

All spiritual education around leading a fulfilled life focuses on training the mind to LIVE in the PRESENT without allowing the MIND to ponder too much on the past or future.

Our Mind’s natural inclination is to hate the PRESENT and to reflect about past and future.

Being MINDFUL and focusing on the PRESENT to control and make our lives fulfilling should be our central focus.

Read below some insightful blogs to be aware of the importance of mindfulness.

    Daily writing prompt
Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?

Instead of spending too much time regretting about the past and worrying about the future, I believe in unleashing the Power of Now.

In his book The Power of Now, the author Eckhart Tolle has mentioned at length the benefits of being present and mindful.

This insight enlightens us on the power of the present moment, the NOW.

“The Mind always seeks to deny the NOW and to escape from it. The MORE you are able to HONOR and accept the NOW, the more you are FREE of PAIN, of SUFFERING and free of the EGOIC MIND.”

I would encourage you all to grab a copy of this wonderful book and start reading. This will make you realize the beauty of mindfulness, the power of now and in turn enable practical enlightenment in your lives.
