    Good Relationships like Seat Belts

Aren’t good relationships like seat belts?

I believe in hand picking a limited circle of friends and relationships since good relationships are like seat belts.

Wise people maintain a circle of safety of people whom they truly love and who care for them in return.

This insight from Simon Sinek on relationships is truly inspiring to the core.

  • Shift to an Infinite Mindset

    Shift to an Infinite Mindset

Why should you shift to an Infinite Mindset?

The primary thing I am working on is to shift to an infinite mindset. This would me be purpose driven rather than pleasure driven.

In his book The Infinite Game, Simon Sinek had introduced this concept wherein he encourages us to think of bettering ourselves by the day instead of comparing with others.

This is the single most important skill needed to keep playing the game of life or business.

The five key principles that define adoption of an infinite mindset have been highlighted below:

    1. Advance a Just CAUSE which acts as a GUIDING STAR for motivating ourselves.
    2. Constant endeavor to build trust at home and workplace wherein people feel psychologically safe in our company
    3. Respect , study and be prepared to learn from Worthy Rivals to keep playing the infinite game more effectively
    4. Avoid complacency & Prepare for Existential Flex which is run time disruption at a time things are going well. This helps us course correct as needed.
    5. Demonstrate the Courage to Lead

  • Learn the Art of Slow Productivity

Learn the Art of Slow Productivity

Why learn the art of Slow Productivity?

If there is something I would like to advise you all it would be to learn the art of slow productivity. This is what I have started practicing on a regular basis.

In his book, the author Cal Newport enlightens us on the merits of not trying to do too many things at a time. He makes us aware of the harmful consequences of being “always on”.

In essence there are three principles of slow productivity extended from the concept of a slow cooked healthy traditional meal:

    1. DO fewer things
    2. Work at a natural pace
    3. Obsess over quality

When these principles are applied in our daily work and personal lives, it would not only become fulfilling it would give us more enjoyment as well as work life balance.

Hence I encourage all of you to consider adopting these principles.
