    Habits develop in a region of limbic brain named “basal ganglia”.

    The habit loop consists of three components.

    1)Cue – The trigger based on which brain decides whether to consider sequence of actions as habits.

    2)Routine – Repetitive sequence of mental , emotional , physical activities that form a repetitive routine.

    3)Reward – The reward that is expected out of automating the loop whether good or bad .

    It is the ability of the brain to continuously automate repetitive patterns as habits to reduce size of brain and increase efficiency of the brain.

    This is an awesome book to understand how to develop good habits & update wrong habits with nicer habits..

    In a finite game e.g. football there are fixed set of players , rules are fixed , duration is fixed.As a result of this “winning” , being the “best” are options.

    In infinite games where duration in unknown , rules are not predefined , players are unknown it is of paramount importance to a player to keep playing with the goal of advancement of a “just cause”.

    In such a game where being the “best” or “winning” does not matter , it is very important to know and pick a “worthy rival” from whom a thing or two can learnt for survival in the long run.

    In the modern day workplace there is an increasing emphasis being given to trust since performance can be taught whereas trust is more human in nature.

    The difference between vision and a goal is the finish line.

    • A goal is 26.2 miles. You can simply count the metrics and know when you’ve completed your goal.
    • A vision is having a crystal clear sense of what the finish line looks like, but no idea of how far away it is.
