    The Journey towards Eternal Optimism

    Daily writing prompt
If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?

If ever there is a biography about me it would enlighten the audience on the journey towards eternal Optimism.

As I have matured with age, I have realized that life is really too short to waste in negativity and anxiety. Wearing an attitude of Optimism and realizing the Power of Now are quintessential to leading a healthy and balanced life.

Hence the journey towards eternal optimism would not happen in one day. The Journey should start with the hope that Optimism is the key to a fulfilling and happy life.

Hence I seek and preach optimism at every possible moment.

I have described the most ideal day in terms of the construct of a fulfilling day as follows:

    1. Can’t wait for the sun to rise to start my day and go to work.
    2. Be part of a trusting team where I am safe to feel vulnerable with colleagues
    3. Be led by an infinite minded leader who invests in people over profit.

  • Why I Love Team Sport?

    Why I Love Team Sport?

    Bloganuary writing prompt
What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Both hockey and soccer that I love are both team sports. I will elaborate in this blog post why I love team sport.

Team sports are characterized by high performing and trusting teams. When you experience the team in action, you realize the value of working and being successful as a group.

    As Simon Sinek says:

A team is NOT a group of people who WORK TOGETHER.

A team is a group of people who TRUST each other”

Also I am constantly reminded that SUCCESS is a TEAM SPORT.

Please read this blog on Navy Seals and what makes them so SUCCESSFUL.

Fearlessly Express Gratitude for THIS REASON

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?

During my leisure time I fearlessly express gratitude to elevate my spirits and feel blessed.

Research has proven that taking gratitude visits not only elevate our spirits but result in everlasting happiness as well.

Nothing summarizes the virtue of expressing gratitude than this iconic quote of Simon Sinek.

The following quote from Dan and Chip Heath further strengthens the above argument:

“Expressing Gratitude pleases the Recipient of the praise, of course, but it can also have a BOOMERANG effect, ELEVATING the spirits of the GRATEFUL PERSON.”

Finally let me sign off telling you how the construct of a gratitude visit may look like.

  • Why I Love Motivation, my Name?

Why I Love Motivation, my Name?

    Bloganuary writing prompt
Write about your first name: its meaning, significance, etymology, etc.

My first name as well as my identity starts and ends with motivation. I PileOnMotivation will explain you in this blog why I love my first name, Motivation.

Motivation is needed to remain Optimistic in life to drive away anxiety and fear from our lives.

The origin of PileOnMotivation was related to piling on motivating together with preachers and seekers of motivation. This in turn would provide us the faith and optimism to imagine a brighter future for ourselves.

I love these quotes of Simon Sinek on motivation and hence Optimism.

OPTIMISM is NOT the DENIAL of the CURRENT STATE. OPTIMISM is the BELIEF that the FUTURE is BRIGHT.

Optimism is the ability to focus on where we are going, not where we are coming from”.

Optimists FOCUS on the PLACE they are GOING. Pessimists FOCUS on the OBSTACLES along with ROUTE. To become an OPTIMIST, simply look AHEAD.”

And finally let me end with a famous quote of Zig Ziglar.

To motivation yourself and feel optimistic feel free to read these blogs meant to motivate the unmotivated.

  • Dream Fulfilling Job. How is it like?

Dream Fulfilling Job. How is it like?

    Bloganuary writing prompt
    What’s your dream job?

In my view a DREAM FULFILLING JOB is one wherein one should return home fulfilled and can’t wait for the sun to rise to report to work, the next day.

Work occupies a huge part of our life and hence we should do a job we love.

For us to love our job, work should be like play. This can only happen when we are doing a job that suits our passion.

I love this quote of Simon Sinek which echoes my sentiment about a fulfilling job.

“Returning from work feeling inspired, safe, fulfilled and grateful is a natural human right to which we are all entitled and not a modern luxury that only a few lucky ones are able to find.”

  • Encourage Vulnerability for THIS Reason

    Encourage Vulnerability for THIS Reason

    Bloganuary writing prompt
Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

The positive example of when i have felt loved that I am going to share is of being part of TRUSTING TEAMS. Leader of a trusting team encourages vulnerability.

Though in hindsight it might seem odd, but its true when members of a team feel trusted they are open to share their vulnerability.

Trusting teams are ones where everyone loves to play a role and more often than not these end up being high performance teams.

I have had the good fortune of being part of TRUSTING TEAMS wherein members have felt comfortable of being vulnerable and sharing their individual weaknesses without fear.

Needless to say these are environments wherein you feel a sense of belonging and hence loved.

Simon Sinek has shared multiple insights related to trusting teams which can be found in these blogposts.

Once you get a chance go through some of these wonderful YouTube videos on why we should encourage vulnerability.
