The Central theme of life revolves around Motivation. This is the reason I chose to adopt and spread motivation as my mission.
In Simple terms this is what my mission is:
“The mission of this blogsite is very SIMPLE: To share best practices, lessons learnt, frameworks from best sellers on motivation and inspiration. This would enable piling on motivation in your daily lives to make it more fulfilling. My goal is to provide you the much needed bout of motivation and ensure that together we can feel motivated and make the world a much better place.“
If someone could give me my greatest gift, the gift would be of blessing me with an infinite mindset.
Infinite mindset wherein we think of bettering ourselves by the day instead of comparing with others, is the most important skill we need to compete in the infinite game of life.
The game of life is truly infinite wherein winning does not matter, what matters is to keep playing with an infinite mindset.
Infinite mindset embraces abundance and recognizes a worthy rival from whom we can learn to hone our skills by the day.
To know more about Infinite Mindset and how it can help you effectively play the infinite game of life, please read the below blogs.
Simon Sinek’s The Infinite Game is a must read for all those who want to adopt an infinite mindset.
I have attended colleges right till post graduation yet I can’t help but think why we not have OPTIMISM as a course curriculum in many colleges.
Optimism is an essential skill that needs to be taught all individuals especially the new age millennials. This becomes more important in the modern age of social media and instant gratification.
Simon Sinek has done a lot of work on Optimism and is an evangelist of optimism. I would highly encourage all of you, especially new age millennials to listen to his speeches on motivation and optimism.
These links will give you a sneak peek at the Optimism Company, which I very dearly follow.
Any sports team to be a high performing one, needs to be a trustworthy team. The Navy Seals would be my mascot since they are the ones who always put trust over performance. The Color would be Orange, the color of Optimism, as in Simon Sinek’s The Optimism Company.
Simon Sinek has mentioned at length in his book The Infinite Game, that NAVY SEALS encourage trustworthiness through trainings such as BUD/S program.
Since the Navy Seals put Trust over performance there are able to do wonders as a group. Any self centered muscular individual this way gets ostracized.
I am CREATIVE by virtue of my ability to navigate through CHAOS. Creativity is a RIGHT BRAIN skill and can be learned over a period of time.
The ability to use right brain skills is going to define us as individuals in the modern conceptual age. When we mix Discipline with Creativity we multiply the value of creativity.
Simon Sinek quote
Read this blogpost to understand how creativity can be multiplied.
Over the past one year or so I have longed to play the infinite game of life with an infinite mindset. I would motivate you all to adopt the infinite mindset for life.
Simon Sinek in his book The Infinite Game, has explained the merits of adopting an infinite mindset to play the infinite game of life in the best possible manner.
Listed below are the five principles which need to be constantly nurtured to adopt the infinite mindset:
Define a Just Cause which should be your guiding star in life
Constant endeavor to Build Trust at home and family.
Learn from Worthy Rivals without comparing with others.
Prepare for Existential Flex to course correct whenever needed.
If there is one thing I could stay away from more often, it would be social media. When we compare social media addiction versus alcoholism we find lot of similarities.
Social media addiction makes us restless with a constant surge of dopamine flow.
The feeling is very similar to being addicted to cocaine or alcohol and has very harmful effects.
Hence we should make use of our social media time and attention with thorough caution.
I am a preacher and seeker of motivation and inspiration. The following are the three of my most favorite people.
Whenever I need to recharge myself, I seek refuge in their blogs, books or tutorials.
Simon Sinek – Author of best selling books – The Infinite game, Leaders Eat Last, Start with Why
Daniel Pink – Author of best selling books – The Power of Regret, A Whole New Mind, Drive to name a few
Carmine Gallo – Public speaking coach – Author of books like – Talk Like TED, The Storyteller’s Secret, The Bezos Blueprint to name a few.
Frequently in this fast moving life, when life hits us with a brick in our head, we need to seek refuge in these books to enliven and revitalize ourselves.
