Life becomes a better place to live in when we complain less and contribute more.

We complain in a state when we are not prepared to take ownership for any shortcomings that we see. This leads to a proliferation of such complaints and never any fruitful solution.

As Simon Sinek aptly mentions in this quote instead of cribbing we need to contribute and bring about the change we want to see in the world.

This not only leads to more fulfillment but makes our lives much better.

Do you enjoy Solitude?

Once your learn to enjoy solitude life becomes a better place to live in. In this hypermediated world, with the proliferation of electronic gadgets we are seldom able to enjoy time with ourselves.

In his book Digital Minimalism, the author Cal Newport mentions that in the modern day even when we are alone we feel anxious to check emails, social media because of the profound impact of gadgets in our daily lives.

Uninventing the LIKE button

Why should you ignore the LIKE button?

Had I been granted one golden wish, Uninventing the LIKE button would be at the top of my wish list.

Ever since Facebook invented the LIKE button, we humans have got addicted to it.

When we give too much importance to this button or two word comments as in social media, it gives a signal to the brain that we would rather prefer superficial short connections rather than physical conversations and real connections.

Ever since this feature has come into existence it has dominated our lives and has made us addicts.

Hence it is very important to be conscious of this fact and focus on real meaningful connections.

Need of adopting an Infinite Mindset

One thing which I have started doing differently is constantly making an effort to lead life with an infinite mindset.

Adoption of such a mindset makes us forget about competition and helps us focus on making ourselves a better version by the day.

Simon Sinek’s book The Infinite Game, enlightens us on the need to approach the game of life with such a mindset. He argues that winning does not matter in life or business, our goal should be to keep playing the game of life with an abundance mentality.

Mindfulness as a Gift

Why is mindfulness the greatest gift?

If I could get a present of my wish, I would long for mindfulness as a gift.

Mindfulness is focusing on the present moment forgetting about regrets of the past or worry about the future.

Focusing on the present is an extremely challenging task since our mind has to be tuned for focusing on the present moment.

Focusing on the present moment improves our immunity system and relieves us from stress and anxiety.
