The Power of Right Brain

The Power of Right Brain
Daily writing prompt
What’s one thing you wish you had started doing earlier in life?

Do you practice Right Brain thinking?

The importance of the right brain is something I learnt at a late age. I wish I knew about this secret at an early age. This is because though most of us are left brain oriented with proper training and habit we can change our orientation.

The importance of Right Brain thinking was wonderfully illustrated by Dan Pink in his book A Whole New Mind.

He mentions at length about the following skills that would rule in the new age namely:

  1. Design
  2. Story
  3. Play
  4. Empathy
  5. Symphony
  6. Meaning

As you can see none of these skills can be replicated by an AI model and hence assume huge amount of significance in the modern era.

So if you are still young, this blog post should inspire you to start training your brain on these skills.

This insight shows how our brain has evolved over ages.
